Nancy Pelosi has spent $16,000 on flowers since taking office. Now why would she do such an idiotic thing like that?
I know there is waste in both parites but, man 16,000? What do you think we need to do in order to get this people who are doing nothing but bankrolling the American people off our money.

Nancy Pelosi has spent $16,000 on flowers since ?
I thought liberals were all about saving the planet and here she is allowing flowers to be cut down all willy nilly like.
Reply:When you read the whole article it seems that her Republican counterpart is also spending 23% more than the last person to hold the office.
Its a business, you want florists and delivery people to go to the poor house?
Really, did anyone read that article all the way through?
Its not a Democrat problem, the Republicans are doing it too.
Or doesn't that fit with your party line and you don't like it pointed out to you?
Reply:Shocking! No, it isn't, really. How pathetically hypocritical.
Reply:Nancy pelosi should be home taking care of her grand kids
and spending her own money. Washington will never be the same with that pinhead in office. We Americans need to really think before we vote junk like her into office of any kind.
Reply:To answer your question;
So much for returning the House to the people, and fiscal responsibility.
Reply:I think the only thing we can do is to get more involved. We need to write letters/e-mails and make phone calls to let them know we're not happy with their ridiculous spending habits. We also need to put more pressure on them to implement TRUE and honest ear mark reform--not just window dressing, such as they have done in the past.
But the truth is, most people either are not inclined to get involved or simply do not have time in today's hectic world, to keep abreast of what those money mongers are doing with OUR money.
Reply:Bill Clinton spent a lot more on Gennifer Flowers.
Seriously, though, this sort of extravagance is absolutely offensive, especially for the Democrats. It champions itself as representing the little guy, then acts like this make them look like they are eliteists.
Such hypocracy is so blatantly transparent. She ought to be severely dragged over the coals for this, but she won't.
Reply:Hopefully the flowers are biodegradable. That is alot of flowers.
Reply:The cons have spent about 10 trillion but we won't worry about that will we.
Reply:That is probably business as usual for our wonderful people that we have put into congress and the senate.
But hopefully they are spreading the money around to the mom and pop floral business.
