Can you write an amusing story that includes these words in this order?
It's very early here - one post then back in 11hours...
Here's a tired attempt - have a lovely afternoon/night/evening all! I've gone with mellow instead of amusing sorry.
They say the true balance in life
Involves the juggling the hours
Taking time to pay the piper
To feel the breeze and smell the flowers
For some an annual holiday
Can make them happy and give them space
It comes as no surprise, when in their now-settled mind
Thoughts linger to recall their first love’s embrace
The imprint on their hearts of a time gone by
When what mattered was in the heart
But now the pressure of time causes memory
To become the less reliable part
Was it the boy I remember from my childhood?
The innocence that now comes to view
Or is it the first time I met that Drug Store Cowboy?
They fade into the distance….and all that’s left is you.
Reply:I was extremely happy as I was on my way to the annual drugstore cowboy. I made a fortune there selling flowers that could be used as drugs. It was a great day out and had many a surprise like when I met my first love there. He left an everlasting imprint on me when he tattooed his name on my arm. My childhood was not very reliable however there is a balance now. I only work weekends to supplement a crazy week!!!!
Reply:I came across a man trying to balance some flowers on his chin. 'Are you drunk'? I asked him. 'Yes' he replied - have just been to my works Annual dinner and I feel so happy I thought I'd surprise my wife with these. She is my first love and has left a big imprint on my heart. She is a lovely woman, so reliable - unlike my mother who was horrible to me through my childhood' . I smiled as he tried to balance the flowers and he just managed it when a Drugstore cowboy pushed past him and knocked the flowers to the ground. xxxxxxxxx
Reply:(little girl character, small mid-west town, circa 1887):
"Looks like ya lost yer BALANCE there, young lady."
The big strong hand was firmly gripping my small arm and pulling up. I was on my feet before I was even ready.
Then the calm male voice spoke again.
"An here's your FLOWERS, M'am....you musta dropped them when ya tripped. Mebbe ya outta go an stand over there -- in the shade. It's awful hot out here today."
As the tall man turned and strolled across the street, my thoughts came back. NOW I remember! It's the ANNUAL "Sunshine Parade!" They march down Main Street, the clowns on funny-lookin' bikes and the horses all dressed-up. Every one is so HAPPY today, even the mean folks. And I love the big SURPRISE Show after the parade is done. There's gonna be a magician over there under the big shade tree. He's from out-of-town! Well, here comes the clowns now!.........(memory fades....)
(narrator switches to old woman voice, circa 1969):
That man who picked me up, you ask? Oh yeah, I forgot to tell ya. I got side-tracked thinkin' about the parades we used to have every Summer, when I was a little thing, back in Dodge City. He was probably my FIRST LOVE, altho I didn't know what love really was at that tender age. But that feelin' I got, when he picked me right up and dusted me off, it sure stirred-up "somethin'!" It really left an IMPRINT in my memory that I've never forgotten to this day. And you know my memory isn't as RELIABLE as it used to be!!! (cackles loudly)
This man was ever-present all through MY CHILDHOOD. And the funny thing is, for years as I was growing up, I just thought he was another DRUGSTORE COWBOY, you know the kind that always hung-out in front of the store.
But when I got to be a young woman, and I saw him tip his hat to me one mornin' as we passed one another, I suddenly realised this was the SAME MAN who lifted me up off my feet all them years ago!
I just blushed a little - well, actually a whole lot, as I heard myself acknowledge him, "Mornin', Mr. Dillon."
Reply:I was out of balance when I gave her the flowers. It happened on an annual event which didn't really make her happy, despite the surprise. You see, this woman was my first love, and theres an inprint in my brain that insists I must be reliable. Ever since my childhood, but then I've never been anything but a drugstore cowboy.
Reply:Caught off balance I bought flowers for my mother's annual party. They made her happy. To our surprise, her first love turned up. His imprint on her memory was far from reliable.
Throughout my childhood she longed for that rotten drugstore cowboy.
Reply:I BALANCE MY FLOWERS ANNUALLY.
SO, IT'S A HAPPY SURPRISE THAT MY
FIRST LOVE MAKES AN IMPRINT ON
MY RELIABLE CHILDHOOD
DRUGSTORE COWBOY . . .
Reply:"Hello and welcome back to im a celebrity",said Dec.
"There has been alot of moaning going on in camp, Even though Janise has been moaning about needing a BALANCED diet she still refuses to eat the meat provided so continues just having rice and veg!", said Ant. He contuined "there is also Feminist Lyn complaing about having no flowers in the jungle!"
"Now im guna tell ya something that will really make you laugh. Yesterday berfore Lyn was moaning about the FLOWERS, Rodney was having his ANNUAL moan about women when Lyn came back from getting the chest and was really HAPPY as she felt she connected with some kind of god. Rodney got the SUPRISE of his life when she jumped on him to give him a hug and he fell back onto a log and injured his knee. Lyn later said that she was sorry and she had done that before to her FIRST LOVE. There was now an IMPRINT in the log as Lyn was soo heavy that when she fell on rodney the log dented. This log wasnt very RELIABLE now to sit on" explained Dec. "You know something Ant", Asked dec. "NO,what?", Replied Ant.
"During MY CHILDHOOD a couple of years back.."
"You meen alot of years back" interuped Ant. "Watever", said Dec as he continued his story" Anyway during my childhood i was often called a cowboy because of this cowboy hat i always wore, and once when i had a fight with someone they had the cheek to say "Go bck to the DRUGSTORE COWBOY" and i got thrown out of scholl because they thought i had had drugs but i hadnt!"
THE END
Reply:my Neutrogena Clean Balance Shampoo smells like flowers, especially the annual flower. When I use this shampoo, I am so happy. Also, I was surprise, because my first love likes this smell. He imprinted a kiss on my cheek. Anyway, this shampoo is reliable. I remember my childhood when I use it. You can ask to buy this flower shampoo to drugstore cowboy!
i had tons of fun with it haha
Reply:Sorry to say I'm out of emails for today.
My life was in the balance as I lay the flowers on the grave. It was my annual way of saying thank you. How happy I had been and what a surprise when my first love walked in the door that day.
The imprint of her kisses lay heavily on my reliable memory. She and I had spent our summers like a drugstore cowboy, drifting in the wind, we laughed and hugged those years to keep forever.
Reply:I was about to balance my flowers on me womans annual and what a happy surprise it was..She thought it was first love but I had ideas of imprint ing my reliable life..my childhood into her instead.,,she said no way..first get them condoms from the drugstore ,cowboy!
Reply:One HAPPY day, MY CHILDHOOD idol, the DRUGSTORE COWBOY SUPRISED me by giving me some beautiful FLOWERS and telling me of his FIRST LOVE for me. Now this cowboy was not very RELIABLE so i was not at a BALENCE in my mind. We went as a couple to the ANNUAL carnival and he got drunk and picked a fight with another cowboy. Later that night, at the police station, the DRUGSTORE COWBOY got his thumb IMPRINT for the records.
