Tux color and flowers?

Im think Im in a bind. I already ordered a black tux, and silver vest and tue because my g/f dress was black or white. Then she found a lemon yellow dress, and thats the one shes wearing. will we look like a bumble bee? So i can get a yellow vest and tie, or should i switch to a white tux. what kind of flowers would go good with this. she hates carnations. please help! :)

A yellow tie would be ok, but basic black tux and tie is a classic. Yellow vest ok, too, if it is pastel and not screaming yellow. Don't go for both the tie and the vest. Choose only one. Again, be careful to be classy, not crass. As to flowers, a yellow rose boutonnier for your lapel would look nice, and she could have white flowers with yellow centers, like lilies or orchids, or give her a wrist corsage with yellow rose buds and white spray. Ask the florist, and, of course, ask the girl; or better, if you know her mom, ask mom. Be a gentleman, and show her respect on prom night and she will treasure you all her life.

Reply:don't get a yellow vest and tie. you will look like a bumble bee. go with your original vest and tie unless you think it will really clash (depending on the shade of the yellow) and if it does then get a white tie and vest. give her roses, depending on the dress, they can be pink (best probably), red, white.. hope i helped! have fun!
