What do you call the quantity in which plants are ordered in?

I am writing a donation letter for my eco-club at school and I want to ask for specific plants and how many i need.. do you know what the quantity in which plants are ordered in?you know how for corn it's bushels...what is it called for flowers and shrubs?

What do you call the quantity in which plants are ordered in?
flowers come in flats, or 6-packs (I think of a flat as 4 6-packs) - it depends on what you're getting which size you need. shrubs and trees come in one gallon to 15 gallons pots (one plant to a pot - shrubs in 1 or 2 gallon pots, trees in larger - 5 or 15 gallon sizes). Also, think big. Don't ask people to buy you a 5 gallon tree because it will take a couple years to get to the size of a 15 gallon tree. You really should have a rough plan to know how many pots of what and flats of what else you'll need.
Reply:flats thats it
Reply:Bushels would refer to the amount of corn yielded from a crop, not how many plants you would want to order. Go to a nursery and explain to them what you need to fill out your grant papers. They'll be able to help you figure out how many plants you need and the proper terminology to use. A teacher from my son's school did that, and she received several grants for the school's garden and a labyrinth that is currently under construction.
