Why would God not know the correct order to do these things in?

The Genesis 1 creation account conflicts with the order of events that are known to science. In Genesis, the earth is created before light and stars, birds and whales before reptiles and insects, and flowering plants before any animals. The true order of events was just the opposite.

Why would God not know the correct order to do these things in?
I don't think it matters. Did Adam and Eve have bellybuttons? Does this affect my relationship with God? No.

If you mean that the Bible may not be literal in every sense, congratulations!
Reply:You presume too much. If we "Knew" what happened in the beginning of time there would be no arguement. The reason that the bible conflicts with rational science is that it was written by a man in order to control other men. If you want irrefutable evidence on the subject you are going to be waiting a long time. One of the best traits of science is that most scientists will tell you when they have a theory and when they have proof. The religious fanatics only tell you to believe or go to hell.
Reply:Gen 1:1 %26amp; 2 The universe was created including all the stars and planets.

verses 3 and on are the created days preparing the earth for life as we know it.

So when scientist want to say the earth is xxxx years old, the bible doesn't disagree with it.
Reply:God knew how to do these things because he is God.....science is probably the most re tarted thing....and i have also heard most scientist saying that there had to be a creator. THE BIBLE!!!! OR sum science people that think they're right because they still deny to believe in Christ...only if you would just understand that He died for YOU but yet you still don't want to believe in Him people obviously have there own opinions but read Revelations in the Bible maybe that will change your mind about where you want to go when He comes.
Reply:Not true. The Genesis account is accurate. All depends what you believe.....
Reply:How do you know the "true" order of events, were you there?

According to your theory, no man was there, so man can never be sure what the "true" order of events were

Science is constantly changing its theories: one day something may be true, the next it may be proved wrong. You can never be 100% certain.
Reply:good question. the oldest document ever found was by the Israelites so anything before that is at best a guess. say i tell you something like i have two arms if you have never met me there is no way for you say i do or i don't as far as you know i have two arms because that is what i told you. but the only way to know that I'm not lying is to know me. how do you get to know me. well if I'm alive then you could just talk to me but if I'm dead then you have to talk to people who knew me if they are dead then maybe there children and so on
Reply:Oh, wow! We have someone here that's actually smarter than GOD! He knows just what happened and exactly how it happened. I wonder how old he is??? He also is apparently an expert on the Bible and how ancient texts were written.

Or maybe he's completely misreading the black and white text in front of him.
Reply:The Earth doesnt need light or stars to exist. What would the animals eat if the plants werent here before them? Why would God not be able to speak something into being whenever He wanted to? Oh... I guess you think God is just a scientist ;)
Reply:God and science don't always connect. However, I have found the latter to be more often WRONG.
Reply:THESE ARE NUTS QUESTIONS....CAN YOU MAKE BUTTERFLIES OR HORSES OR PLANETS...WELL HE CAN SO IM NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE ORDER OF IT NOONE CARES ABOUT THAT AS LONG AS YOUR HEART BEATS isnt that what counts for you? the sun comes up every day and even birds know how to go back to twhere theyre born without help!!!!
Reply:God is God, science is not God, God know exactly what He was doing.
Reply:Reason and Logic are not necessary to conclude an answer......therefore god exists.

:%26gt;)
Reply:bc_munkee, take a look at the array of answers you're seeing here, and take a look at the question I most recently posted in this section.

...and I can't say that you won't be incredibly disappointed and/or afraid.

I find it very hard to believe that people are dismissing science... cold hard facts about the world we live in and observe... in favor of an absurd creation myth that is logically and chronologically inaccurate. To a humanist and critical thinker, this is very disheartening.

The Genesis myth is part of the proof that God is a creation of man... and not the other way around.
Reply:Science remains very limited in it's knowledge of the creation of the world. I am pretty sure, if the world was created by God, that he did it in the most logical order. I also believe that science and God do not conflict, that all matters of God are done within the realm of science, but unfortunately remain beyond the knowledge of man.
Reply:Are you seriously asking a bunch of bible thumpers this question? Don't you know their answer to everything is they know it is true because the bible says so. You can't debate with them. If they don't like the way something is interpreted they just change the interpretation.
Reply:Moot point. Scripture, by definition:

1) It's not a science book

2) It's not a physics book

3) It's not a geology or astronomy book...

No....

...and it was never intended to be. It is merely a record of the revelation of God's plan for mankind...which leads to none-other-than Jesus Christ as His Son.

No more - no less. It is full of allegories and poems and hymns and the written and oral traditions of men.

When God writes a science book, believe me, it'll be complete.
Reply:You are hopeless. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but the One Creator existed long before scholastic men.

.
Reply:Who created science? Man - show me a perfect man!
Reply:Was "science" there when these things happened?

%26gt;The true order of events was just the opposite"

Well, since only God and YOU were there when it happened, then I guess we will have to wonder which one of you is right.
