Can I leave Calla Lilys in the ground all year? I live in zone 7.?

I think Calla lilys are beautiful flowers and I just ordered a whole bunch of them. Most sites say they can be left in the ground from zones 8-10. My zipcode is 19702. Any other opinions or thoughts about the flowers would be great! Thanks!

I'm also in zone 7 and its fine to leave them, but you will need to divide them every three to four years as they will propagate in the ground, also your blooms next year will be smaller - some of the plants strength will be going into creating new bulblets/rhizomes and not into the flower production.
Reply:I'm wondering how you figure out which zone you are in? I live in Southern California, so what zone would that be?
Reply:I'm sure if you took care with them and kept up good winter protection, they'll be fine. make sure they are in a good spot, not in a cold spot in your garden (which would be the lowest, wettest parts usually)
Reply:I am in zone 6 and left my Calla Lily's in the ground by accident last year. Much to my sup rise they are doing great. We did have a mild winter but I am going to leave them again this year, I think I will just mulch them good before winter sets in again.
Reply:I'm in zone 7 and I haven't had a problem with any of my lillys. But it wouldn't hurt to cover them with leaves right before the first frost and uncover them again in the spring. Good luck and happy gardening.
