Can you keep plastic wrap over a potted plant to keep bugs out?

I planted 3 Hyacinth bulbs in a beautiful bright orange pot, instead of forcing the bulbs I am leaving them outside for the winter. I plan to bring the pot inside when they begin to flower. Is it possible to place plastic wrap over the top of the pot now in order to keep out any type of bug, worm or any other outdoor organism that I don't want to bring into my house. I assume that the clearness would allow photosynthesis. But I'm also thinking it may keep the bulbs too warm?? Not sure.

no, that will suficate the plant. Use something with netting, not too big to keep the bugs outs.
Reply:YEs, in a tent fashion. People sometimes put them under a glass container too but air is restricted that way.Make sure your soil is sterilized or bugfree or else you'll be making a nouse for bugs with a food source.
Reply:This is unsugestable, as it would cause a green house effect with your plants and likely kill them, try goign and buying some spray that normally works.
