How do I care for an Easter Lilly until I give it to my mother this summer?

I live over 600 miles from my mother and this past Easter I order an Easter lilly from my church in memory of my grandparents (my mother's parents). I wanted to give my mother the lilly this summer when I see her. I'm not sure of how to care for it until then. The flowers have all died and the leaves at the bottom of the plant look like they are dying. I don't want to hurt the plant what do I need to do so my mother can enjoy the plant next spring?

Make sure the dirt stays damp. Don't let it dry out. As long as the bulb is okay then it should come back next year and multiply after that. I'm sure your mom will really enjoy it. It was awful nice of you to do this. I'm sure she'll never forget it.
Reply:leave it as is ,and it will come up and flower at easter, They always do
