We have a grafted mango tree, more than 4 years old now but hasnt produced any fruit yet. I've heard that you can spray a chemical preparation in order for it to induce flowering and thus bear fruits.
Mango? When is the right time to spray a mango tree?
i hope this helps!
Reply:The best thing you can do to promote good flowering is to apply a good balanced fertilizer. Phosphorus will help the reproduction of plants, which is the flowers and eventual fruit. Phosphorus is the middle number in an analysis like 10-16-12
Reply:If your tree isn't fruiting, and all other conditions are right, it's probably a nutritional deficiency. Try a fertilizer that also contains trace elements (check the label).
I enjoyed the Frugal Life site. This must be the wet dream of mango seeders. You don't have to go thru all that. Whew! I'm glad I didn't see that site before I went into the business. I'd probably still be working on my first tree.
The ground under most mango trees is carpeted with seedlings. We propagate seeds by simply pressing the fruit into the ground by walking on them and come back in a month to pot up the trees..
