I have a flower girl (age 12)( not dropping petals) a girl to carry the pillow (age 9) a maid of honour and a bridesmaid I don't know what order they walk down the isle in please help: what is the tradition?
What order do they walk in?
They go in "reverse" order. So your bridesmaid will go first, then the Maid of Honour, then the two girls can go together, or have the pillow girl first, then the flower girl right before the bride.
Reply:the wedding I was in went flower girl, bridesmaid, bridesmaid, bridesmaid, maid of honor. So probably something like pillow girl, flowergirl, bridesmaid, MOH. It's up to you though, ask the officiant at the rehearsal as to what most people do.
Reply:Whatever you want really! It's your day.
I did flower girl (who was 12 and we titled her a "jr bridesmaid", bridesmaid, maid of honor, flower girl (or in your case, pillow carrier).
Reply:There really isn't a tradition anymore regarding the order. It's whatever the bride wants. Since the little girl isnt dropping petals she doesn't have to go before you. In England it's usually maid of honor, bridesmaids, flower girl, but lately in more american weddings i have seen it's the reverse. It's up to you. Flower girls tend to pull focus though because they're so f-ing adorable so make sure she has reached the altar and is in place before you start walking down the aisle.
ps. Congrats and best wishes on your the rest of your life
Reply:usually the bridesmaid would go down first then the maid, then flower girl before you then the aisle is all yours. and all eyes
Reply:The girl who carries the pillow, the flower girl, the bridesmaid and then the MOH.
Reply:The bridesmaid, then the maid of honor followed by the ring bearer and then the flower girl. Though in some cases, the ring bearer accompanies the flower girl.
The bridesmaids are escorted by the groomsmen and the maid of honor is escorted by the best man.
