Are you satisfied with the plants/flowers that you purchased? I am planning to place a large order and would like some feedback from other customers before I place my order. Thanks!!!
If you have ordered from Michigan Bulb Co.?
There's a good site called gardenwatchdog.com. It allows users to post comments about mailorder or internet plant suppliers. There are usually a lot of comments that you can read about what people have experienced, and you can make up your mind based on that.
Some commenters are obviously biased one way or another, while others are very objective--but it is usually quite obvious, and you can get enough information to make up your own mind.
It is also useful when you are looking for a certain plant and are wondering where to get it--they have quite a list of suppliers.
Reply:Excellent - excellent and more excellent!!!
Order every year and as of yet have never had a problem.
The only suggestion I might add is to keep in mind that the plants you order from Michigan Bulb are going to be smaller, much smaller than the ones you can get from your chain or landscape stores. They are small but REALLY healthy and of the best quality. Most times you won't get much growth the first year, but after they take root they will grow with the best of them and before you know it will look better than plants from other - more traditional sources.
Good Luck and I'm sure everything will look great!
Reply:I had good luck with them with everything I ordered which included Roses, Hedges, 3 fruit trees, lots of flower seeds.
Good Luck !
Reply:I also ordered from them many years ago...always with good results! Enjoy your plants!
Reply:I ordered from them for several years, and was never disappointed with either the quality or the hardiness of the plants that I received. Hope you have the same success!
Reply:Love them! Very good company. Best products from a mail order place.
Reply:Their bulbs are excellent. Finest quality. However, if you are ordering plants, I would suggest Bluestone Perennials instead. Excellent service, first rate healthy plants. Some were blooming when I received them.
Reply:For the money, I think there are better companies. Everything I have gotten from them is very small, when I order from places like Whiteflower Farms or High County Gardens, I receive much bigger plants than I have gotten from Michigan Bulb for about the same price.
And I have great success with some ebay sellers as well.
Reply:Michigan Bulb isn't a very reputable nursery. They sell low quality plants and bulbs. I bought from them once and out of $30 worth of plants, only a few grape hyacinths actually grew. You're better off buying plants from a more reputable nursery even if the price is higher. Everyone in my garden club has the same opinion of Michigan Bulb. They sell the crap no one else will sell.
Reply:I have purchased large orders myself from Michigan Bulb. Their packaging is great. Realize that the plants are very small and some may come bare root. But the plants are good quality and will grow in time. It is more economical and less stress on the plants to plant them this way. They also guarantee their plants which most garden shop will not guarantee their plants.
